Parents & Principals don’t always know kids like we do.
Our relationship with students is different.
So we have to be confident when they criticize our choices.
It doesn’t mean they are against us.
It just means we have something to teach each other.
Parents have different perspectives of their kids.
Students have different perspectives of their peers.
Principals have different perspectives of their school population.
Teachers have different perspectives of their students.
Sometimes when people don’t share our perspective we take it personally.
But the best thing we can do is take all of these perspectives to truly listen and better understand.
It’s tough.
But it’s worth it.
Because we are a team.
