I love using Battle Brackets to get kids talking, engaged, and building relationships and I’m confident you will love this too!
This is TOTALLY something you are going to want to use with students immediately!
How to Use It?
It’s super simple… for each round kids get to vote on which gum is better.
They can only pick one per round, so they have to think carefully!
At the end of the bracket, only one type of gum is the ultimate champion!
This Will Create:
– Amazing ways to get to know students
– Quirky convos on their dislikes and likes with this sticky treat.
– Some competitive spirit when “their gum” wins
And for the record, you gotta vote in each round too!
When can you use it?
This is PERFECT for:
– A fun 5-minute starter to your class- doing 1 round per day with the big finale on Friday
– An incentive for the end of the class- “if we crush it during class, we can battle bracket at the end”
– A fun Friday treat- Had an incredible week? Do the whole bracket in one day as kids leave for the weekend
All you have to do is print, upload into google classroom, or share your screen and you are good to go.
It’s so fun and interactive!
Fun Fact:
When I played this bracket with my students I brought up the gum Big Red. You know, that super spicy, cinnamon gum. Well, not one single kid in my class had tried that. Crazy, right?
I hope you and your students enjoy it!
And after you try it, be sure to get the entire battle bracket bundle that includes dynamic discussion questions for every single bracket!
You can check out that bundle here
With so much love,
PS– If you LOVE this, you will LOVE this NEW battle bracket bundle!
