When I was a kid I had 2 main goals:
1. Be a good person
2. Pursue a career I enjoy
If you asked yourself those two questions today, how would you respond?
Because I have had SO many teachers reach out recently and say, “Monica, I just don’t enjoy education anymore.”
Teachers hear me when I say, if you don’t love education anymore that is TOTALLY ok.
The big question is, what are you going to do about it?
We have a couple of options
- Find passion again
- Find a new career
Hard to believe we are approaching the time of the year where teachers really start looking ahead to next year.
What does yours look like?
What do you WANT it to look like?
What do you NEED it to look like?
As somebody who TOTALLY lost sight of the passion in my profession in year 7, I can tell you there is a BIG difference in losing SIGHT of passion and ACTUALLY losing it
Remember that.
