Do you have a favorite cereal?
Mine is for sure Cinnamon Toast Crunch!
My mom would buy it for us as kids, but only if she had a coupon.
I can remember her coming home with tons of boxes when they were on sale and we would store them in our basement deep freeze.
To this day, I store my cinnamon toast crunch in the freezer!
But what does that have to do with education?
Well, I have 1 word for that PICTIONARY!
And this version is cereal-isly fun!
This game is wildly popular with kids of all ages and over the course of my years in the classroom I have found that it is amazing way to get kids out of their comfort zone, laughing, and learning!
So here is a full lesson for you!
This free activity is PERFECT for SEL time, morning meeting, homeroom, small group, and relationship building.
Literally all you need for this is paper, a whiteboard, a digital board, and markers.
How easy is that?
Don’t think your students will be into drawing?
Promise me you will at least try it?
I have done Cereal Pictionary with elementary kids all the way up to high school students. They get way more involved then you would ever imagine!
This activity has created SO many laughs in my classes and I’m confident it will do the same in yours.
This is such a fun way to:
End the day or week on a good note
Take a quick brain break
Get students outside of their comfort zone
Creating laughter while learning
Talk about fun little topics like cereal favorites and least favorites
If you love it, and I’m super confident you will, there is plenty more where it came from!
